New works on show at Bleeding Heart Gallery

Recently I was part of a group exhibition at Bleeding Heart Gallery on Ann St in the city. That exhibition was a lot of fun and subsequently, the awesome folks who run the gallery and cafe have asked me to exhibit some of my prints there for the next few months.

Some things on show you might have seen before, some prints you definitly haven’t seen and there are even some new owls on show that I have been working on following the positive response to my previous owl prints.  The one comment a lot of folks have said to me recently is how unfortunate it was that my solo show went for such a short period of time, hopefully this will rectify that.

Here’s a preview of some of the works…

Bleeding Heart Cafe is in the old School Of Arts building in Ann St (between King George Square & Central Station). It’s got yummy coffee and food and is a great respite from both the bustle of the city and the encroaching summer heat!

Hearts Of Gold group art show… Till 13th August

Heart Of Gold Invite

I’m part of a group exhibit. It opened Friday 31st at the Bleeding Heart Gallery/Cafe.
I’ve got two brand new pieces I’ve made over the last few weeks. One of the prints is of my friend Adam King of local band, Turnpike. The other work on show is part of a commissioned piece I’m doing. More details soon…

And in other news. I was stoked to find myself a new workstation to do my woodblocks at. I wasn’t interested in going to Ikea to get some fold-up waste of chipboard. What I really wanted was one of those old-styled school desks that lifts up and you store all your stuff inside. Well after a few weeks looking around town, I found this one in New Farm and it was cheap too! It’s perfect and now means that I won’t be working at the kitchen table which is a vintage Formica dining table and I was always scared of scratching the damn thing.
